From Anne Marie:

Who could ever forget her reliable, truly ear-piercing screeching EVERY time you tried to get her on the glove.

From Anne Marie:

Fullersburg Earth Day 2009 - I had Spring on the glove in the Education Center. It was a bit noisy and crowded, but Spring was doing alright. All of a sudden, a very large man was running top speed right at us from only about 20 yards away, shouting! He was so big, his footfalls were making the floor shake! I about screamed, but had the presence of mind to put myself between the man and Spring... you can imagine Spring's reaction! She was just a flurry of wings and feathers for the longest time... poor thing. It took me a while to get her calmed down. Turned out the young man was limited mentally, in some way. Essentially he was a three year old in a man's body.... a 6'3", 200+ lbs body! He didn't mean any harm, he just got so excited when he saw Spring on my glove and immediately ran over to get a closer look. The man and his mother stayed and talked with me and Spring for a while... I think the mother wanted us to see her son was harmless... just very big. Turned out to be a very nice encounter. :-)
