Alba
Origin of her name:
Alba means "white" in Latin and she is a light morph hawk. Only after her arrival at Willowbrook was it determined she is a female. When she arrived her name was Casper.
Species:
Buteo jamaicensis (Red-tailed Hawk)
Status as of November 1, 2015:
There have been issues with Alba and Henna playing the on-the-ground game when someone goes in to work them. Education staff has been intermittently moving Alba and Henna into smaller cages to avoid such behavior. Alba has permanent jesses to make it easier to get her on the glove.
Rescue Story:
Arrived with Henna November 2011 with a permanently injured right wing.
